These are rules and guidelines for Characters.
Please keep in mind Staff have the right to interpret the rules as they see fit and abusers will be dealt with on a case by case basis. Staff have to include reasons for any warnings or bans.
Character RP Rules:
Rules & Guidelines for Rping a character here.
1: Characters must list the items they will be using in combat or where needed. This only applies at the start of Combat or when out of combat only when needed.
Only Take on the amount of characters you can handle:
There is no real limits on the amount of Original characters you can have but any abusers will be put on a limit.
We understand you might want to rotate characters but if there are are too many complaints about dropped threads then a limit will be imposed.
First Strike: A simple Warning
Second Strike: A Temporary limit on characters until you can catch up
Third Strike: A probationary period (Varies) Limit on characters
Fourth Strike: You will not be able to create any more characters
Fifth Strike: From here on out you will lose a character for every Strike until you have only one left.
Canon Characters you have gained are not affected only Original Characters.
IC consequences:
Keep in mind IC actions/inactions have IC consequences. If your character is a jerk other characters will act accordingly.
Account:
You can only have one account and it must be a Original Character.
Give Others something to work with:
This is really important. Describe enough to give something to work with. If nothing else give critical information.
Sight: What is being seen or can be seen
Sound: What is being heard
Touch: What can be touched what what does it feel like
Taste: What does it taste like
Smell: What does it smell like
Do not:
He walked into a bar and asked "What are you doing?" This doesn't leave much to work with.
Do:
He strolled into the bar looking around while he made his way to the counter and took a seat next to a rough looking gent. "Hey how is it going big guy? What are you up to?" he spoke conversationally still taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the grungy tavern. This is a bit better now someone can work with the image of the big guy or the sights, sounds and smells normally part of a old, grungy tavern, there can now be lots or few people.
